Peacock and Mastercard have teamed up to offer World and World Elite Mastercard customers a saving of up to 50% on the cost of a Peacock subscription. The exact saving depends on the card used and the Peacock plan, but the credit is continually applied every month.

Peacock offers two main plans for new subscribers to choose from. Peacock Premium costs $4.99 a month and is an ad-supported plan. For those that prefer watching without ads, the Peacock Premium plan costs $9.99 a month.

Through the Mastercard promotion, customers can save up to 50% on the cost of Peacock by way of a statement credit that’s applied to their account every month. If signing up to the ad-supported Peacock Premium plan, and using an eligible Mastercard World or World Elite card, the customer will get a $3 monthly statement credit, reducing the cost of the subscription down to $1.99 a month.

If signing up to the ad-free Premium Plus plan, and using an eligible Mastercard World Elite card, the customer will get a $5 monthly statement credit, reducing the cost of the ad-free (and local NBC-included) plan down to $4.99 a month.

Regardless of the plan chosen, there is no promo-code or opt-in required. Instead, the monthly statement is automatically applied each month and shown in the next billing statement.

While the Mastercard promotion seems to exclude existing Peacock Premium and Premium Plus subscribers, the FAQs suggest that it is possible for existing Peacock Premium subscribers to save $5 each month by upgrading their current plan to Peacock Premium Plus, providing a Mastercard World Elite card is listed as the payment method on their account at the time of upgrading.

Existing subscribers with a Mastercard World card don’t seem to be able to take advantage of this offer at all.

Lastly, while the Mastercard promotion officially went live on October 1, it is currently due to remain available through March 31, 2025.
