Comcast Simplifies Xfinity TV Packages With New National Video Plans

Comcast has announced new national video plans. While not necessarily new in general, these video plans are designed to simplify the company’s existing Xfinity TV packages by making them, including their prices and features, easier to understand.

Comcast‘s rebranded options consist of five main packages. Available to new and existing customers, the new plans are TV Core, Sports & News TV, World Soccer Ticket, TV Plus, and TV Premium, and range in price from $65 to $135 a month.

While the price is always important, it is even more so with Xfinity’s new plans, as these are now listed as all-in prices.

Thanks to this new pricing model, consumers will now be better informed on exactly how much they can expect to pay each month when signing up.

“Like we did with Xfinity Internet, we’ve simplified and reimagined our video packages, making it easy and hassle-free for our customers to enjoy great content on the best and most innovative entertainment experience,” said Steve Croney, Chief Operating Officer and incoming Chief Executive Officer, Connectivity & Platforms, Comcast.

Those that opt to bundle their TV with their internet through Xfinity will also benefit from additional savings.

“When combined with Internet and mobile, our new video packages offer unmatched value, plus there’s even more opportunity for savings with bundles like Xfinity StreamSaver,” added Croney.

Here’s an overview of the new plans and the cost.

Along with the channels included with these packages, Xfinity says all plans now come with an X1 4K TV box, Comcast’s set-top box that offers access to live TV, on demand content, streaming apps, and more.

Likewise, all plans also now include access to Xfinity’s premium features at no additional cost, including Multiview, Enhanced 4K, StreamStore and Fan View.
