When To Watch The 2026 Winter Olympics
Held every four years, the 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. While the games officially run from February 6–22, 2026, some events actually start ahead of the first day and Opening Ceremony.
For those that do plan to watch the Opening Ceremony online, it is due to begin at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT) on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026.
The 2026 Winter Olympics will then continue through until February 22, and conclude with a live broadcast of the Closing Ceremony beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET (11:30 a.m. PT).

Where To Stream The 2026 Winter Olympics
For those looking to watch the games live, there are two main options available – a live TV package that includes NBCUniversal networks or a standalone Peacock Premium subscription.
Watch The Winter Olympics WITH A Live TV Package
If your preferred method of streaming the games is a live TV package, events are due to be shown across NBCUniversal networks, including NBC, CNBC, and USA Network.

If opting for Sling TV, the Sling Blue package is the only plan that includes NBCUniversal networks. What’s more, Sling Blue only includes NBC in select markets and doesn’t include CNBC.

Watch The Winter Olympics WITHOUT A Live TV Package
If you don’t want to pay for an entire live TV package just to stream the Olympics, Peacock will be streaming every 2026 Winter Olympics event live.
A paid Peacock Premium subscription is required to stream the games and Peacock offers two Premium plans for new subscribers to choose from.

While both Premium plans include access to live events, including the Olympics, as well as favorites from NBC and Bravo, Universal movies, and Peacock Originals, the Premium Plus plan is an ad-free plan.
Of course, with the Olympics streaming live on Peacock, upgrading to the ad-free plan won’t result in the removal of ads when watching any live content, including Olympic events.
Peacock no longer offers a free trial, so all new subscribers will need to pay for their first month or year when signing up.
