Netflix launched its new Netflix Playground app as an all-in-one streaming destination for kids aged 8 and younger. The app features an ever-growing library of instantly playable games and activities, all of which are designed to fuel fun and creativity.
Access to Netflix Playground is included in all Netflix memberships at no additional cost. The dedicated experience also doesn’t include any ads or in-app purchases, making it even safer for younger family members.
As this is designed to be a separate and walled-off experience, access to Netflix Playground is only available through a dedicated app.
The Netflix Playground app is available to download now through the Apple App Store and Google Play in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, the Philippines and New Zealand.
Support for other countries is due to the arrive at the end of this month.
Once users have downloaded the app and signed in with their existing Netflix account, families will have access to a selection of games featuring a variety of much-loved characters and franchises, including Sesame Street, Dr. Seuss, Peppa Pig, StoryBots, and Bad Dinosaurs.

Netflix also says users can expect the library of games and activities to continue to grow in the future, including new experiences based on Gabby’s Dollhouse, KPop Demon Hunters, PJ Masks, My Little Pony, and PAW Patrol.
“We’re creating a seamless destination for discovery, learning, and play. Whether it’s reuniting with Hank and the Trash Truck crew for new adventures or making a smoothie with Peppa Pig, watching and playing on Netflix can be the fun and easiest part of every family’s day,” added Derderian.
