Amazon Prime Video users now have access to a new FloSports streaming channel. The new FAST channel provides access to a range of live sports and programming throughout the year.
What You Need to Know
- Prime Video has now added a free FloSports FAST channel featuring live sports and year‑round programming.
- The channel offers more than 1,000 hours of content, and coverage of more than 25 sports.
- FloSports plans to expand this FAST channel to additional platforms in the near future.
FloSports is the streaming home of a variety of live sports each year and the new FAST channel provides access to FloSports portfolio of more than 25 sports.
According to the company, the new FAST channel will be home to more than 300 premium live events and more than 1,000 hours of live programming in general.
The FloSports Channel premiered on Prime Video today (July 21) in the U.S. As this is a FAST channel, it is available to Prime Video users at no additional cost.
The new channel joins FloRacing 24/7 and FloHockey 24/7, both of which were already available to stream on Prime Video.
“The traditional linear market is not built to fully serve the depth, quality, and growth potential of many non-Tier 1 sports rights,” said Phil Wendler, EVP, Global Rights Acquisition, FloSports. “FloSports has spent years building a better model for rights holders who want more than a distribution outlet. The FloSports Channel on Prime Video expands that promise by giving our partners another scaled, free-to-consumer distribution path, helping new fans discover the sports and communities that make FloSports unique.”
Along with live events, the FloSports Channel’s programming lineup includes a range of original and shoulder programming, including studio shows and podcasts, highlights, replays, and documentaries.
The FloSports portfolio includes NASCAR, USA Wrestling, Varsity Spirit, the American Hockey League (AHL), High Limit Racing, the Tour de France, the Wanda Diamond League, and 20 NCAA conferences.
According to FloSports, the launch on Prime Video is only the start of things to come, with the FAST channel now expected to become available on other distribution platforms in the future.
The company says details on these additional distribution launches will be announced in the coming weeks.
