DirecTV has confirmed that its paying customers will get access to the new ESPN Unlimited streaming service after it launches. What’s more, they’ll get access to the new sports-centric service at no additional cost.

While those signed up to one of DirecTV’s Signature streaming live TV packages will get access to ESPN Unlimited at launch, those signed up to DirecTV’s satellite and U-verse services will gain access to ESPN Unlimited in the fall, according to DirecTV.

Along with those signed up to one of the main live TV packages, DirecTV has confirmed that MySports Genre Pack customers will also receive access to ESPN Unlimited at no additional cost.

Similar to the streaming customers, MySports subscribers will get access to ESPN Unlimited as soon as the ESPN streaming service becomes available.

As a reminder, the MySports Genre Pack is available in the U.S. and doesn’t require the user to sign up for one of DirecTV’s main live TV packages.

Priced at $69.99, the Genre Packs provides access to a wide variety of sports channels from Disney, Fox, NBCUniversal, Paramount, and Warner Bros. Discovery, as well as channels dedicated to major professional and college leagues.

DirecTV has also announced that its streaming customers (those signed up to a Signature package) with a Gemini device will additional benefit by receiving a fully integrated experience for ESPN Unlimited, Disney+, and Hulu Basic at no extra charge.

DirecTV continues to make it simple for customers to access all their content in a seamless personalized experience without having to search across multiple apps,” explained Vince Torres, chief marketing officer at DirecTV. “With unmatched choice and flexibility, our customers can control their entertainment and pay only for the programming they value.”

The company has also confirmed plans to make HBO Max and Peacock available within select DirecTV packages later this year.
