DirecTV has added two more VOD streaming services, providing customers with more options when creating a bundle that best suits their needs. The two new services now available through DirecTV are Screambox and Dove Channel.
What You Need to Know
- DirecTV has launched Screambox and Dove Channel as premium VOD services.
- The new additions are part of a growing distribution agreement between DirecTV and Cineverse.
- Screambox and Dove Channel focus on fandom-driven content for horror and family-friendly audiences.
The arrival of Screambox and Dove Channel is part of an expanded partnership between DirecTV and Cineverse.
While DirecTV already carries plenty of FAST channels from Cineverse, these optional add-ons offer a way for consumers to pay for more of the fandom-driven content they enjoy the most.
“As we have seen for quite some time, fandom-driven channels like Screambox and Dove drive real engagement, subscriptions, and revenue for our distribution partners, while discouraging churn,” said Cineverse SVP Partnerships and Business Development Alexandra Viglione.
For those new to Screambox, the streaming service is designed with casual and die-hard horror fans in mind. Subscribers can expect access to a library of horror movies that’s refreshed on a monthly basis.
Some of the titles currently available to stream on the service include movies like Black Christmas, Terrifier 2, and Terrifier 3, as well as series like Bedlam and Being Human.
Screambox costs an additional $6.99/month.
As for Dove Channel, subscribers can expect access to a library filled with wholesome, family-friendly, and faith-based content.
Some of the titles currently available to stream on the service include Loving Every Minute, Romantic Friction and Love at the Lodge, as well as series like Life with Derek and H2O: Just Add Water.
Dove Channel costs an additional $4.99/month.
“The value of premium, curated, entertainment programming that targets the most passionate fans continues to grow, and through this expanding partnership with DirecTV, we are able to reach these audiences however they prefer to watch,” added Viglione.
