A Big 12 Conference FAST channel is coming later this year. The free, ad-supported sports network will be the first channel from Big 12 Studios, a new joint venture between the Big 12 Conference and Gray Media’s Raycom Sports.
The Big 12 Studios FAST channel will feature a variety of content, including in-game footage, highlights, replays, and in-depth expert analysis. Viewers can also expect access to profiles of current and former Big 12 Conference student-athletes, as well as a weekly Inside the 12 show.
While no firm date on when the channel will become available was provided, it is confirmed to be launching in the fall. As this is a new channel, device and platform support also looks likely to be limited during the initial launch stages. Big 12 Conference and Raycom Sports have confirmed the plan is for the channel to be accessible on multiple major platforms.
“We are thrilled to partner with Raycom Sports to launch the league’s first-ever 24/7 channel,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “Storytelling is at the forefront of everything we do and is a key part of our narrative and brand building efforts. Through Big 12 Studios, we have the capability to showcase our brand and deliver original programming to fans across the country.”
In addition to the FAST channel, a selection of Big 12 Studios content, including Inside the 12, will be made available across local TV stations throughout Big 12 Conference markets, including Gray Media’s Arizona’s Family Sports Network in Phoenix and Tucson, KSMO in Kansas City, and KMYL in Lubbock, Texas.
