Amasian TV is a new and completely free streaming service that’s now available in North and South America. The new FAST streaming service aims to become the premier live TV home of pan-Asian entertainment.
As this is a free streaming service, the live TV experience is made up of themed channels playing a selection of movies, documentaries, TV dramas and variety shows. The library brings together content from Korea, China, India, Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Arab countries.
Examples of some of the available FAST channels at launch include C-Movies Action, DODO+, INDIA TV NEWS, K-Drama, K-Movies, KPOP+, VieOn Drama and Zee Mundo.
With ODK Media aiming for more than 100 FAST channels by the end of the year, users can probably expect more free channels to be added over the coming months.
From what we can tell, Amasian TV appears to be solely a live TV service right now, as there is currently no option to watch content on demand. While it remains unclear whether on-demand support will be added in the future, the service provides access to a ‘Start-Over‘ feature that makes it possible to restart a live broadcast from the beginning.
The new live TV streaming service can be accessed beginning today directly through the Amasian TV website. While it is also possible to download the app on streaming players and smart TVs, app support is a little limited to begin with.
At launch, the Amasian TV app is available on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, LG smart TVs and Samsung smart TVs, as well as Android and iOS mobile devices.
