Apple is rolling out an update to its Apple Sports app which unlocks access to a number of new features. Notably, the app now includes information on where to watch nationally broadcast games.
Apple released its Apple Sports app in early 2024. Launched as “a new app for sports fans,” the app provides users with a variety of information on different sports, including real-time scores, stats, and more.
Since its initial launch, the app has routinely received updates to improve the user experience and the latest comes in the form of version 2.4. Released today (Jan. 27), version 2.4 adds broadcast information for national games on game pages, below both team names.
In cases where there is more than one way to watch an individual game, the app will also show all available options.
Broadcast information is only one of the improvements included in this update. Here’s the full changelog from the App Store.
- The Apple Sports soccer lineup keeps getting bigger with the FA Cup, EFL Championship, and League Cup.
- Navigating between your favorites is even faster now. Swipe left or right to browse all of the leagues and teams you follow.
- Tune in to all the national games with broadcast information now available on game pages.
As the changelog points out, the latest update also expands soccer content. In particular, English league content, thanks to support for the FA Cup, EFL Championship, and League Cup.
