Comcast Xfinity customers are getting new features designed to improve watching NBA content, including live games. The upgraded NBA experience arrives just in time for the new basketball season.
Key Takeaways
- Xfinity customers can now watch up to four NBA games of their choosing simultaneously on one screen, with the ability to switch audio feeds and jump between games.
- A new Fan View feature offers real-time access to scores, stats, standings, betting odds, and live game tracking.
- Comcast’s upgraded NBA Zone provides content for over 1300 games and allows users to follow favorite teams with streamlined access to live coverage and highlights.
One of the key NBA upgrades from the user perspective is the option for sports fans to create their own Multiview. With this feature, Xfinity customers will be able to select up to four games of their choosing and watch all of them at the same time on the one screen.
As is the case with Multiview features available on other services and platforms, Comcast’s version also allows viewers to jump to a specific game while in Multiview mode by selecting the individual game’s window.
This is also while maintaining the option to cycle between audio feeds of the other selected Multiview games.
Another new feature is Fan View. Described as “a new all-in-one sports companion” and an upgrade to the existing X1 Sports Zone app, Fan View is designed to be a one-stop hub for keeping up with all of the live action in real time, including live scores, stats, standings, betting odds, and team insights.
The new Fan View hub can also be used to find which games are currently shown live, and instantly join the action.
Lastly, Comcast has also upgraded the NBA Zone to offer a more personalized experience, and make it quicker and easier to find live games.
In the new version of NBA Zone, sports fans will find information on more than 1300 NBA games during the season, and across broadcast, cable streaming and FAST.
The new NBA Zone is customizable too, with users able to select their favorite teams and focus on live coverage, stats, news and highlights for those teams.
“Nobody does basketball better than we do, and by bringing everything together into one simple, feature-packed experience, we’re removing complexity so our customers can simply sit back and enjoy everything the season has to offer,” said Fraser Stirling, Global Chief Product Officer, Comcast.
