Curiosity University is now available as a primetime subscription on The Roku Channel. The new add-on option provides homes with another way to access a world of educational content.
For those interested in giving Curiosity University a try, a premium subscription costs $8.99 a month when signing up through The Roku Channel. There’s also the option to sign up on an annual basis for $89.99, resulting in a saving of $17.89 each year.
If completely new to the streaming service, Curiosity University (formerly One Day University) provides viewers with access to a wide library of content that explores history, arts, culture, science, well-being, and more. In addition to a variety of documentaries and series, subscribers also get access to a selection of additional content, including courses, short and long-form videos, and podcasts.
For Curiosity, the launch of the add-on provides the Curiosity University standalone service with instant access to a large and growing user base. By the start of 2025, the number of Roku Streaming Households was closing in on 90 million.

If not currently using a Roku player or Roku OS smart TV, Curiosity University is also available to access via a number of other platforms and services. In September of last year, for example, Curiosity University also became available as a standalone subscription through Amazon Prime Video.
