  • DirecTV is offering HBO Max, Paramount+ with Showtime, Starz, MGM+, and Cinemax free through Nov. 30, 2025.
  • Access to the premium channels has been unlocked as part of DirecTV’s annual Thanksgiving free preview.
  • The free preview is available to DirecTV, DirecTV via Internet, DirecTV Stream, and U-Verse customers

DirecTV users now have access to HBO Max, Paramount+ with Showtime, Starz, MGM+ and Cinemax, at no additional cost. The free preview of each channel officially began yesterday (Nov. 26) and continues through Sunday (Nov. 30).

During this time, DirecTV, DirecTV via Internet and DirecTV Stream users, as well as U-Verse customers, can watch as many of these premium channels as they want for free.

As this is a free preview, DirecTV users don’t have to do anything to enable or disable access with the channels now unlocked and set to be locked again once the free period comes to an end.

DirecTV, DirecTV via Internet and DirecTV Stream can access the channels on channels 501-560, while U-Verse customers will find them on channels 832-944 SD / 1832-1942 HD.

Although on demand titles from these channels are not available to satellite customers, DirecTV via Internet and DirecTV Stream users should be able to access the on demand libraries of each during the free preview.

For those that do decide they would like to retain access to any or all of these premium channels after the free preview has concluded, HBO Max can be added to a DirecTV Package at $16.99/mo, Paramount+ with Showtime at $12.99/mo, Starz at $10.99/mo, Cinemax at $10.99/mo, and MGM+ at $7.99/mo.
