The NBA has now launched its first-ever NBA-branded FAST channel, with the free channel currently only available through The Roku Channel. Along with the FAST channel, Roku and the National Basketball Association have also launched a new NBA Zone on Roku, offering users a hub to find games and other NBA-related content.
In addition to classic games, the NBA FAST channel will provide access to a varied selection of NBA programming, including highlights, recaps, documentaries, original series, studio shows, and interviews. As part of the same agreement, Roku will also exclusively distribute more than 40 live NBA G League games during the 2024-2025 NBA G League season.
The new NBA FAST channel can be accessed on The Roku Channel through the Live TV Channel Guide. Roku users will also find the channel available in relevant zones, including Live TV Zone, Sports Zone and NBA Zone, as well as through the Roku Channel app.
“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with Roku with the NBA’s first FAST Channel and other NBA content and functionality that will serve as an enticement and on-ramp to live NBA games,” said Greg Beaton, NBA Senior Vice President of Content Partnerships. “This partnership supports our goal of reaching NBA fans with our content in innovative ways.”
If interested in checking out the new NBA Zone, the content hub can be accessed by navigating to the Sports section of the Roku’s Home Screen. Once in the NBA Zone, Roku users will not only find quick links to available content to stream, but also information integrated from the NBA app, including the latest league news, behind-the-scenes stories, and game clips.
The NBA Zone will also include the option to purchase an NBA League Pass subscription, for those that want access to even more NBA programming.
