Fubo and DAZN have agreed a new deal that will see the two companies distribute their owned-and-operated linear channel’s on each other’s platforms.
This appears to only be the start of things to come, with other collaborations, including the availability of DAZN’s pay-per-view events on Fubo, due to be announced at a later date.
In the meantime, users can expect access to more sports channels and content. From today, for example, Fubo users are gaining the option to subscribe to DAZN1, a channel dedicated to DAZN’s exclusive boxing and MMA events.
DAZN1 is available to Fubo’s live TV subscribers as an optional add-on, and available to all Fubo users as a standalone subscription.
Along with the new linear channel, DAZN1 subscribers will also gain access to a selection of on-demand content as well.
“Fubo and DAZN’s partnership delivers more premium sports to fans, wherever they choose to watch,” said David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of Fubo. “Adding DAZN’s unmatched fight content enhances our sports entertainment lineup while offering customers greater flexibility. We’re also excited to expand our FAST channel, Fubo Sports, through DAZN and explore further opportunities with Shay and his team.”
Also beginning today, DAZN will be offering Fubo Sports. This is Fubo’s FAST network, offering access to a wide selection of sports programming, including documentaries, movies, and more than 400 live sporting events each year.
The list of available sports programming on Fubo Sports keeps growing as well. Just last month, Fubo agreed a deal to show live European League of Football‘(ELF) games on Fubo Sports.
“Our deal with Fubo enables DAZN to increase access to top-tier sports content for fans in the U.S. and Canada, as we continue to provide the ultimate sports entertainment experience. Fubo’s viewers can now watch the world’s leading fight talent compete in unmissable events as part of a new DAZN premium fight package. Meanwhile, the launch of Fubo Sports on the DAZN platform will be an exciting addition to our ever-expanding portfolio of premium sports content,” said Shay Segev, DAZN Group CEO.
