The Fubo app is now available on Xfinity Flex and Xumo Stream Box devices, providing Comcast Xfinity Internet customers with another option for streaming live TV. As part of the same device support expansion, the app is also now available on Xumo TVs as well.
In spite of Fubo being one of the more popular live TV streaming services around, the app had remained absent on Flex and Xumo Stream Box devices up until now. Its arrival, however, now sees Fubo joining the likes of Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV, all of which were already available on these devices.
Likewise, any homes that have picked up a Xumo TV from a retailer in the U.S., including Best Buy, Walmart, and BJs, now also have the option of signing up to get their live TV from Fubo.
“We’re thrilled to add Comcast’s Xfinity Flex, Xumo TV and Xumo Stream Box streaming platforms to Fubo’s suite of TV devices. A big shout out to the many teams across Fubo and Comcast for their hard work in bringing our premium user experience to Comcast streaming customers,” said Isaac Josephson, SVP, Product Management, Fubo.
If totally new to Fubo, plans start at $79.99 a month, typically following a 7-day free trial, and provide access to a wide variety of entertainment, news and sports channels. With sports tending to be Fubo’s main thing, the live TV service is likely to prove more appealing to homes specifically wanting access to live sports.
“With a huge collection of sports-focused channels ranging from local broadcast to national networks covering the biggest and smallest of sports, Fubo is a great addition to the growing catalog of streaming options available on our platforms,” said John Dixon, Senior Vice President, Entertainment, Comcast.
Any Xfinity customers with an Xfinity Flex or Xumo Stream Box can check out the new Fubo app by using the “Fubo” voice command, or by locating the app within the device’s app menu.
