Fubo has now confirmed its new ‘Fubo Sports’ plan will launch next week. Once the new option goes live on Tuesday (September 2), consumers will have the option of signing up to a skinny sports-focused live TV package.
Fubo previously announced its intention to launch a new sports package, with the company earlier this month confirming the new package would go live in the coming weeks.
Less than one month after that announcement, and the new package is now just days away from launch.
Priced at $55.99 a month, the new Fubo Sports plan will provide subscribers with access to more than 20 sports and broadcast networks featuring national and local pro and college team coverage.
Some of the channels now confirmed to be available through Fubo Sports include:
- ACC Network
- Big 10 Network
- CBS Sports Network
- ESPN
- ESPN2
- ESPNews
- ESPNU
- Fox News
- FS1
- FS2
- Fubo Sports Network
- ION
- NFL Network
- SEC Network
- Tennis Channel
The Fubo Sports plan will also unlock access to local broadcast stations owned-and-operated by ABC, CBS and FOX plus additional affiliates in select markets.
What’s more, Fubo Sports subscribers will also get access to ESPN Unlimited at no additional cost. ESPN Unlimited is a new sports service offering access to everything ESPN, including ESPN Select (formerly ESPN+).
“The launch of Fubo Sports will add another content tier to our broad portfolio, super-serving passionate sports fans. With our signature pay TV streaming service alongside standalone sports offerings, Pay-Per-View live events and now Fubo Sports, we will continue to offer consumers multiple competitively-priced content options within the Fubo ecosystem, free of friction,” said David Gandler, co-founder and CEO, Fubo.
As part of the launch process, Fubo has confirmed that new subscribers will be able to sign up to the new Fubo Sports plan at $45.99 for the first month, a $10 discount on the usual price.
Fubo also explained that Fubo Sports will initially launch in select markets, with the expectation of going live in additional markets in due course.
