If you’ve been considering giving Criterion Channel a try, the streaming service is currently running a ‘Fall Special‘ deal that lowers the cost of the annual plan down to $79.99 for the first year.

Considering the annual plan is normally priced at $99.99 a year, new subscribers save an additional $20 on the usual cost, matching a deal from January. Activating the Fall Special promotion requires the “FALL20” promo code and the code can be redeemed through September 30, 2024.

With the monthly plan priced at $10.99, this is a very good way to save on the cost of a full 12 months. At $10.99 a month, subscribers would end up paying $131.88 over 12 months, which is $51.89 more than the current annual plan deal.

For those totally new to this streaming service, a Criterion Channel subscription provides access to a selection of Hollywood, international, art-house, and independent movies. This is in addition to access to Criterion’s library of more than 1,000 classic and contemporary films, as well as a selection of trailers, shorts, behind-the-scenes documentaries, interviews, video essays, archival footage, and more.

All in all, Criterion Channel can be a good option for film fans, and especially if signing up for a full year at the currently discounted annual plan price.

As the discount only applies to the first year, the subscription will auto-renew for the next year at the usual annual price, currently $99.99 a year.
