HBO Max’s Black Friday deal for 2025 is now live and offers new subscribers the Basic with Ads plan at just $2.99 a month. As the discount applies each month for an entire year, this is a good way to save throughout most of 2026.

  • HBO Max’s Basic with Ads plan is down to $2.99/month for Black Friday, saving subscribers $8 each month compared to the regular $10.99 price.
  • The discount applies to the first 12 months and new subscribers have through Dec. 1 to sign up at the discounted price.
  • The deal applies only to the Basic with Ads plan, with no discounts currently available for HBO Max’s ad-free plans or bundle with Disney+ and Hulu.

An HBO Max Basic with Ads subscription costs $10.99 a month following the most recent price increase. However, with the current Black Friday deal lowering the cost down to just $2.99 a month, new subscribers can save $8 each month after signing up.

What’s more, the deal is good for the next 12 months. As long as you don’t cancel your subscription, you’ll be able to continue streaming HBO Max for a full year at less than $3 a month.

HBO Max’s Black Friday deal is live now, available through Monday (Dec. 1), and available to both new and returning subscribers.

$2.99/mo For 12 Months

Once the first year comes to an end, the HBO Max Basic with Ads plan will automatically renew at the usual cost, currently $10.99/mo, unless canceled.

While the Basic with Ads plan is a good option for those that don’t mind sitting through ad breaks, HBO Max also offers two ad-free plans: Standard and Premium. However, there is currently no Black Friday offers available for either ad-free plan.

Likewise, while it is also possible to bundle HBO Max with Disney+ and Hulu, there’s currently no option to save on the bundle with a Black Friday deal.
