LG smart TV users now have the option of redeeming a three-month free trial to Apple Music. The extended free trial has been made available to celebrate the launch of Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos support on LG TVs.

While LG’s TVs gaining support is big in itself, what’s additional noteworthy here, is that this makes LG the first TV maker to add support for Dolby Atmos with Apple Music. From the LG TV user perspective, they can now enjoy a more immersive audio experience when listening to Apple Music on their TV. According to the announcement, the list of compatible TVs includes LG OLED TV models from 2018 to 2024 and QNED TV models Q90T and above.

For those new to Apple Music, LG is now offering its TV users a three-month free trial to try out Apple’s streaming service, and, of course, the newly added Dolby Atmos support. In most markets, the three-month Apple Music free trial promotion began on April 30 and is due to remain available until April 29th, 2025.

The extended free trial can be accessed directly within the Apple Music app on compatible LG TVs (2018 models and later) running webOS 4.0 and higher. As a reminder, Apple Music is an ad-free streaming service that unlocks access to a library of more than 100 million songs and 30,000 curated playlists. While not all songs and albums are available in Dolby Atmos, users can easily check which ones are by looking for the badge on a title’s information page.

Considering Apple Music only usually offers a one-month free trial, this is a good way to test out the service for a longer period than usual. Once the free trial comes to an end, and providing the subscription has not been canceled, subscribers will begin paying the monthly price, currently $10.99 a month.
