Google released its Best Of Google Play 2024 Awards earlier this week, with Max and Peacock both picking up a ‘Best Apps of 2024‘ award each.
In Max’s case, the award was the ‘Best multi-device app‘ award. According to Google, Max won the award for its “ability to let you pick up where you left off across a multitude of devices,” including TVs, tablets and cars. Google also pointed to the app’s support for downloads and multiple profiles.
Peacock was awarded the ‘Best for Google TV‘ award. While no further information was provided on why Peacock won the award, Google TV has now started promoting the award on Android and Google TV devices stating “Enjoy personalized content with Peacock, optimized for Google TV.”
Along with Max and Peacock, PBS Kids Video also a winner this year, picking up the ‘Best for Cars‘ Google Play 2024 award.
