Comcast Xfinity X1 customers are gaining access to the company’s Multiview feature, and just in time for March Madness. The feature can be of great benefit to sports fans, and especially during tournaments, as it allows the option to watch up to four games at the same time on the same screen.

While Comcast was already offering Multiview support to X1 customers, the support was still in the early phases of rolling out, and availability varied by market. According to Comcast, the current expansion of Xfinity Multiview to more X1 devices will provide millions of additional customers with access to the feature.

As the feature has arrived in time for March Madness, X1 customers can take advantage of Multiview support throughout the tournament. In total, 164 basketball games are due to be shown over the next few weeks.

Now, they don’t have to choose between games, miss a buzzer beater when flipping channels, or set up another TV on a makeshift stand in their living room – all the action is right there on the same screen,” said Vito Forlenza, Vice President, Sports Entertainment, Comcast.

According to Comcast, Xfinity Multiview will be available throughout the duration of both men’s and women’s tournaments. However, customers won’t be able to choose the exact Multiview configuration they want. Instead, Comcast’s Multiview will vary between two to four pre-selected men’s and women’s games playing simultaneously.

For those interested in checking out the new support, customers can simply say “March Madness” or “multiview” into their voice remote to launch the Xfinity Multiview experience and see the available options.

Once a customer has selected their preferred multiview experience, they will be able to toggle between channels to switch audio, or jump into full-screen mode for a specific game.
