Earlier this year, it was confirmed that NBC Sports Washington would be rebranded as Monumental Sports Network in September, and that’s exactly what has now happened today.

In a new announcement, Monumental Sports & Entertainment confirmed that the rebranding has taken effect across all channel guides today. For those that typically watched NBC Sports Washington, the rebranded Monumental Sports Network is now available to watch on the same channel.

In addition to the linear channel rebrand, Monumental has also confirmed that its new digital experience is also now available. As a result, those with a live TV plan that included access to NBC Sports Washington can log in to Monumental Sports Network website or app using their live TV account details.

Some of the new features sports fans can expect include access to multiple camera angles during live games, personalized features, and access to original behind-the-scenes programming and new shows. This is in addition to the ability to watch Monumental Sports Network live, 24/7 linear feed on multiple devices, score alerts, team and player updates, and much more.

The new digital experience is available in app form on Amazon Fire TV, Android, Apple TV, iOS, and Roku. For those that already had the Monumental Sports Network app downloaded on their devices, they can now expect an update to roll out to their devices in due course.

While Monumental previously confirmed it is planning to offer a direct-to-consumer subscription option, that appears to be still in the works at the moment. At present, the new digital experience is only available to those with an eligible live TV plan.
