A new Creator Television (Creator TV) FAST channel has now launched, featuring a range of content from creators, including Uncle Roger and Jenny Lorenzo. The channel appears to be launching as a partnership between Sabio Holdings and Plex, with Plex taking care of global distribution of the free, ad-supported channel.

With a focus on creator-led content, it is not surprising that the goal of the FAST channel is “bridging the gap between social media storytelling and the broader streaming TV landscape.” In a bid to achieve this goal, the channel intents to showcase a diverse range of creators and content.

“Creator-led TV, or show formats that blend user-generated content with traditional TV narrative techniques, is pushing the boundaries of storytelling,” said Charlie Ibarra, Head of Content at Creator TV. “Much like the introduction of music videos and unscripted show formats, creator-led TV has the potential to completely reshape the content landscape.”

Sabio and Plex also expect the channel to appeal to a global audience, seemingly indicating that the FAST channel will become widely available on a global level.

“Plex is committed to creating a global community of streaming content that people can depend on to easily discover, experience, and share,” said Shawn Eldridge, Vice President of Content and Business Development, Plex. “Creator TV will bring our viewers fresh and unique programming that will resonate with diverse audiences worldwide.”

Naturally, with Plex taking care of distribution, the FAST channel is already available to stream for free on Plex in the United States.
