New Historian FAST Channel Unlocks Free Access to History-Based Series and Documentaries

Cineverse has now launched a new Historian FAST channel in partnership with American Public Television. The new channel offers access to a variety of history-based programming and is initially available via LG Channels.

Viewers of the new FAST channel can expect access to series and documentaries spanning topics ranging from war to art, politics to sports, pop culture to travel, and more.

The new Historian FAST channel draws on content from American Public Television, a syndicator of programming to public television stations across the country.

Examples of content now available to stream on the channel include the World War II Collection, Rick Steves’ Special: Fascism in Europe, Curious Traveler, Behind the Wings, and A Craftsman’s Legacy.

According to American Public Television, its collection of history-based programming has proven so popular with viewers that it made sense to launch a dedicated FAST channel.

“Our history collection is so popular with viewers that it made perfect sense to curate it into an exciting new history-themed FAST channel,” said Judy Barlow, Executive VP Growth at American Public Television.

This is also not the first time the two have partnered to launch a FAST channel. Cineverse and American Public Television previously partnered with Bob Ross Inc. to launch The Bob Ross Channel in 2020.

“We had a strong partnership with Cineverse from The Bob Ross Channel and are delighted to be working with them again to bring Historian to life,” added Barlow.

Although the channel is now officially available, it is currently only accessible through LG Channels, the free streaming platform available on LG smart TVs and devices, as well as on Android and iOS mobile devices.

Historian joins a variety of other Cineverse channels available to stream via LG Channels, including The Bob Ross Channel, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, Dove Channel, The Lone Star Channel, Real Madrid TV, Screambox TV, and Yu-Gi-Oh!.
