MAVTV has launched a new direct-to-consumer streaming service, MAVTV GO, offering fans a way to access and stream even more motorsports and automotive content. What’s more, MAVTV GO is available for free.
MAVTV GO unlocks access to a curated selection of live racing coverage. This is in addition to a wide library of on-demand content, including original shows, race recaps, documentaries and archived races.
With no paywall in place, the streaming service is completely free to access through the website or the app on a supported device. As this is a new service, device support is a little limited right now, with MAVTV GO currently only available on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, iOS and Roku devices.
The company has confirmed that support for smart TVs, as well as Android TV and Android mobile devices, is in the works and due to become available soon.
With this being a free service, MAVTV GO shouldn’t be viewed as a replacement for the traditional MAVTV channel. Instead, and along with the company’s FAST channel, the DTC service is designed to add to the ways that racing fans can access content.
“With MAVTV GO, we are breaking down barriers and making it easier than ever for fans to connect with the high-octane content they love, whenever and wherever they want,” said CJ Olivares, MAVTV President.
While all of the content is available to watch for free, MAVTV GO offers the option to sign up for a free account to unlock premium features. For example, personal content recommendations, the ability to highlight favorite racing events and shows, and opt-in to receive push notifications for upcoming programs.
