Peacock is now in the process of rolling out an app update which adds some new features for mobile device users. The Android and iOS app update adds Can’t Miss Clips, Prediction Games, and Mini-Games to the streaming service.
While some subscribers may have already seen them in the app, for those that haven’t, Can’t Miss Clips provides app users with the ability to watch previews of upcoming episodes and clips of a title’s most memorable moments.
Somewhat related to Can’t Miss Clips, the app also now includes Prediction Games. These interactive games allow subscribers to cast votes and guess outcomes before an episode, movie or special.
As these are time-sensitive, and related to upcoming programming, Prediction Games appear once a week and in advance of an episode or live event.
Following the broadcast of the episode or live event, those that have taken part in one of these predictive game will be able to check their results to see how their predictions compare with the actual outcomes.
Peacock Follows Netflix With Playable Mini-Games
In addition to Prediction Games, Peacock is also following in the footsteps of Netflix with a selection of playable mini games. According to Peacock, each game will test puzzling skills and knowledge of entertainment, pop culture, and sports.
To begin with, only three Mini-Games are available and these include:
- Daily Swap: Swap letters to complete word puzzles before running out of moves.
- What The?: Identify words describing unusual images in just two attempts.
- Downwards: Search for words across and down that match the theme of the day.
Mini-Games will refresh each day, providing users with the ability to play a fresh game on a daily basis.
For those not currently using Peacock on their smartphone, the latest version of the app, with Can’t Miss Clips, Prediction Games, and Mini-Games, can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Once downloaded, the new must-see clips and interactive games can be found mixed in with the streaming service’s library of movie and TV show recommendations.
