LG TV owners now have the option of downloading the Philo app directly on their smart TV. With Philo positioned as an affordable live TV streaming service, those using an LG TV have now gained another way to save on the cost of a live TV package.
LG joins a host of platforms and devices that now support Philo, including Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, and Roku. Similar to LG, Philo is also available to watch on Samsung smart TVs and Vizio smart TVs without the need for an additional device.
For those already signed up to Philo and ready to access the app on their LG TV, the app can now be downloaded directly through the LG Content Store on the smart TV. Once downloaded, existing Philo subscribers can simply sign in to their account to access their channel lineup, on-demand content, and recordings.
For those completely new to Philo, the live TV service’s ‘Core’ base package costs $28 a month and unlocks access to more than 70 paid channels, including AMC, A&E, MTV, VH1, BET, and Discovery.
Philo Subscribers also get access to an additional 90+ FAST channels, taking the total number of available channels to more than 160. In addition, Core subscribers also get access to AMC+ at no additional cost, unlocking access to popular content from AMC, IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder and Sundance Now.
