If you’re a student, you can actually save on the cost of Sling TV. Similar to many other streaming services, Sling TV offers a student discount. Here’s a closer look at how much you’ll save and how to sign up.

Sling TV offers two main base packages, Sling Orange and Sling Blue. Both of these live TV plans start at $46 a month. While this is cheaper than many other live TV services, it still a lot to pay each month, and especially if you’re on a student budget.

However, students can save $10 a month on this cost for the first six months, potentially lowering their monthly payment of the Sling Orange or Sling Blue plan down to as little as $36.

Sling also offers a combined ‘Orange + Blue’ plan starting at $60.99 a month. Although more expensive, this package unlocks access to all of the channels included with both Orange and Blue packages.

Once again, and thanks to the student discount, eligible students can save $10 on the cost for the first six months, lowering the price of the Sling Orange + Blue plan down to as little as $50.99 a month.

Signing Up For A Student Sling TV Plan

Providing you are a student, you can sign up for the Sling TV student plan through Student Beans. The Student Beans platform offers access to discounts on a variety of services, so many students will already be familiar with the network. For those with an existing Student Beans account, that’s half the battle of securing a discount on Sling TV.

For those new to Student Beans, the first step is to sign up for a free account. As this is a student platform, those signing up will need to confirm their student status and eligibility.

Student Beans discounts are available to students studying in full time education and with access to a personal institution email or credit card style student ID.

Once signed up, students get access to the platform’s discounts for 12 months, and can reverify their student status each year to maintain access to the platform and its savings.

With a Student Beans account created, students just need to visit the Sling TV Student Plan page and sign in with their Student Beans account details. They will then be able to redeem their discount and sign up to Sling TV at the lower price.

Save On Sling TV For Six Months

The student discount on Sling TV is only available to new Sling TV subscribers and only applies to the first six months of a subscription.

Following those initial six months, the subscription will auto-renew at the usual rate. For those signing up to Sling Orange or Sling Blue, that means a minimum of $46 a month. For those signing up to Orange + Blue, the subscription will auto-renew at a minimum of $60.99 a month.

While not an ongoing saving, or one that can be renewed each year like other student discounts, it is still a good way to save on the cost of Sling TV.
