  • The Spectrum TV app is now available on Google TV and Android TV (Android 10+) devices.
  • The app provides Spectrum TV customers with access to their live TV package, including premium features like Multiview.
  • Along with Google TV and Android TV, Fire TV devices also gained access to the Spectrum TV app today.

Available for free to Spectrum TV customers, the Spectrum TV app on Google TV and Android TV provides access to a customer’s live TV package, including their full Spectrum TV channel lineup.

In addition to live TV (including the ability to pause live TV), the app also offers access to available on-demand content, cloud DVR recordings, and premium features like Multiview.

“Launching the Spectrum TV App on Google TV and other Android TV OS devices expands how customers can enjoy Spectrum TV,” said Elena Ritchie, Senior Vice President, Video at Spectrum. “It’s another step in giving customers more choice and flexibility in how and where they watch.”

The Spectrum TV app is now available to download directly through the Google Play Store on Google TV and Android TV devices. However, Android TV support is limited to devices running Android TV 10 or later.

It is not just Google TV and Android TV devices that have gained access to the app this week, as the Spectrum TV app is also available on Amazon Fire TV devices from today.

Google TV, Android TV and Fire TV join a growing list of compatible platforms and devices. A list that already included Apple TV, LG smart TVs, Roku, Samsung smart TVs, Vizio smart TVs, Xumo Stream Box, and Xumo TV devices.
