Amazon will soon offer a Starz and MGM Plus bundle through its Prime Video Channels service. Starz confirmed the news today, stating that the bundle will provide subscribers with the option to save 20% compared to the cost of separate subscriptions.

While Starz likely needs no introduction, some homes may not be quite as familiar with MGM Plus. Even though it sounds like a new service, MGM Plus is simply a rebrand of Epix. The service was renamed back in January with no change to the monthly plan or price.

Amazon customers will soon have the option of signing up to both streaming services for $11.99 per month. At present, a Starz subscription through Prime Video costs $8.99 per month while MGM Plus costs $5.99 per month. Compared to the combined cost of $14.98, the bundle will result in a monthly saving of around $3.

Starz did not specifically state when the bundle will go live but did say that it will become available through Prime Video in the coming weeks.

In reality, this bundle option shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as Amazon owns MGM after finalizing its acquisition of the company in 2022. Not to mention, Prime Video isn’t the only streaming service that’s offering this exact same bundle.

Back in January of this year, YouTube TV also started offering a ‘Starz + MGM+’ bundle to its subscribers. Priced at $11.99 per month, YouTube TV’s bundle also offers a monthly discount of around $3 compared to the cost of subscribing to each service separately.

One point to note is that it is possible that the bundle won’t come with the option of a free trial. At present, Prime Video provides new subscribers with a 7-day free trial when signing up to either Starz or MGM Plus. The image provided by Starz (above) would seem to suggest that a free trial for the bundle won’t be available.

While YouTube TV also offers free trials with each streaming service, it also doesn’t offer a free trial with the Stars-MGM Plus bundle. However, The Roku Channel offers an ‘MGM+ + Starz‘ value pack for $11.99 per month and does offer a 7-day free trial.
