If you’re an LA Chargers or Kansas City Chiefs fan, and don’t currently have a live TV package, this week’s game between the two NFL teams will be available to stream on YouTube. The game will be available to watch for free, and for users in most global markets.
If currently signed up to YouTube TV, the game will also be available to stream in the YouTube TV app at no additional cost.
The Chargers vs Chiefs game is due to be played in São Paulo, Brazil on Friday, September 5 at 8 PM ET. Here’s the direct link for those that would like to set a reminder.
YouTube users will be able to tune in from 7 PM ET to catch the pregame show featuring NFL personalities and YouTube creators. The game will also be followed by a 30-minute postgame show.
While the game will be available to stream for free in most global markets, it will be unavailable in some. Most notable, the game won’t be available to watch on YouTube in Canada, due to the game being exclusively shown on Bell.
For those interested in catching the game live, the matchup should be easy enough to find as it will be featured on the YouTube app homepage once live. Alternatively, it will also be displayed at the top of your search results after searching for “NFL.”
For those interested, the YouTube stream will include the option to enable YouTube’s ‘Watch With‘ feature, unlocking the ability to watch the Chiefs versus Chargers alongside participating YouTube Creators.
YouTube TV subscribers opting to watch the game in the YouTube TV app will also be able to take advantage of additional YouTube TV features, including Key Plays, Scores & Stats, and more.
