Verizon is offering existing customers savings on Netflix, Hallmark Movies Now, and KOCOWA+ during May. These streaming deals were announced as part of a fresh round of Verizon promotions that look to lower the cost of various subscriptions.
The free year of Netflix was first brought back in March and is offered through the company’s +play service. Essentially, when purchasing an annual subscription from one of these Verizon +play partners during May, Verizon will give you one year of Netflix’s Premium plan for free, a saving of $240 over the course of 12 months.
To give you an example of how this deal works, you could sign up for an annual Starz subscription priced at $74.99 per month and get access to Starz and Netflix for one year, a Paramount Plus Premium plan for $99.99 and get access to Paramount Plus and Netflix for one year, or AMC Plus for $83.88 and get access to AMC Plus and Netflix for one year.
For those that really don’t want any of these other streaming services, it is also possible to get the free Netflix Premium subscription when signing up to annual plans from Peloton, Calm, Duolingo, and MasterClass.
According to Verizon’s small print, this offer is not only open to new Netflix customers, but existing subscribers ones as well. The only main caveat is that they are new customers to the annual subscription they are signing up to. For example, not an existing or returning Paramount Plus, Starz, or AMC Plus subscriber.
If not interested in Netflix, Verizon is also offering a deal on Hallmark Movies Now, although it isn’t quite as good. Basically, existing Verizon customers can currently sign up to Hallmark Movies Now and only pay 99 cents for the first month. Considering a Hallmark Movies Now subscription costs $5.99 per month, this is a saving of $5 on the first month.
Alternatively, Verizon customers can sign up for a KOCOWA+ premium monthly subscription and save 50% on each of the first three months. With the premium KOCOWA+ plan priced at $7.99 per month, this works out be a saving of around $4 per month.
