DirecTV customers subscribed to the MiEspañol Genre Pack now get ViX Premium for free. The complimentary subscription is the result of an expanded deal announced earlier this year between DirecTV and TelevisaUnivision.
Although this is ViX’s premium plan, there are two tiers available and MiEspañol subscribers have only gained access to the ad-supported tier.
However, with a ViX Premium with ads standalone subscription typically costing $4.99 a month, it is still a nice benefit for DirecTV MiEspañol customers to have at no additional cost.
With the additional service now included in the Genre Pack, existing MiEspañol customers now have access to thousands of hours of premium Spanish-language news and entertainment content, including new series such as “Con Esa Misma Mirada,” “Las Hijas de la Señora Garcia,” “Papá Soltero” and “Profe Infiltrado.”
This is also in addition to a wide variety of live sports, including this summer’s UEFA Women’s Euro Cup and Conmebol Copa America Femenina, Liga MX, UEFA Champions League, Major League Baseball National League Divisional and Championship Series.
For those considering signing up to the DirecTV’s MiEspañol plan, the Genre Pack unlocks access to a robust lineup of Spanish-language content, including more than 60 live channels, for $34.99 a month.
In general, MiEspañol is one of five new Genre Packs now available through DirecTV. Each of these Genre Packs make it easier for homes to sign up to a skinnier live TV package that’s more tailored to their needs.
