Sling TV Drops ‘Day Pass’ Price To $1 To Celebrate First Legal Victory Over Disney

Sling TV is now offering consumers the option to sign up to its Day Pass at a greatly reduced price. The discount has been made available in celebration of Sling’s first court win in its legal battle with Disney.

Sling‘s Day Pass, normally priced at $5, launched earlier this year. However, soon after the launch, Disney filed a lawsuit against Sling over the Day, Week and Weekend Passes.

In response, Sling not only doubled down, but also tripled down, on its Passes, vowing to fight the legal battle in court.

As part of that legal battle, Disney sought a preliminary injunction in an attempt to block Sling from offering its Passes while the lawsuit continued.

A federal court recently denied Disney’s preliminary injunction request, and to celebrate the continued availability of its Passes, Sling has massively discounted the price.

Instead of paying $5 for each Day Pass, Sling is now offering 24 hours for just $1. The promotion is live now and due to remain available through November 30, 2025.

What’s more, Sling has not put any limits on the use of the promotion, making it possible for consumers to sign up for a $1 Day Pass as many times as they want.

“Consumers deserve affordable TV, not bound by long-term contracts or bloated offerings. The $1 Day Pass is our way of saying thank you to the customers we fight for every day,” said Seth Van Sickel, Senior Vice President, Sling TV.

As a reminder, Sling’s Day Pass provides access to the Sling Orange plan. Sling Orange includes more than 30 channels, including the Disney Channel and ESPN.

Unlike Sling’s monthly subscriptions, a Day Pass doesn’t automatically renew, so those signing up for one won’t have to worry about canceling before the end of the 24-hour period.
