Amazon customers now have the option of signing up to Peacock Premium Plus through Prime Video, and without having to download a separate app. The availability of the premium Peacock plan is part of a new and expanded distribution deal between Comcast NBCUniversal and Amazon.

Peacock Premium Plus is the ad-free version of Peacock, which also means it is the more expensive option. For those now considering signing up through Prime Video, Peacock Premium Plus costs $16.99 a month or $169.99 a year.

In addition to an ad-free viewing experience, Premium Plus subscribers also get access to their live, local NBC channel, as well as the ability to download certain content for offline viewing (when using the mobile Peacock app).

For those using Fire TV to stream apps and content, the new multi-year renewal agreement also ensures the Peacock app will continue to be available to Fire TV customers in the U.S.

At Amazon, we are always working to make customers’ lives better every day and these new agreements with Comcast NBCU are fantastic for millions of customers, who are looking for the fastest and easiest way to find all their entertainment and sports in one place,” said Mike Hopkins, Head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.

The new agreement also guarantees films from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will continue to be available to buy and rent on Prime Video.

This is in addition to also ensuring Xfinity TV customers continue to receive access to Prime Video’s library through Comcast’s Xfinity X1 platform and the Xumo Stream Box.

Adding Peacock to our growing list of subscriptions – while renewing our long-standing agreements for Fire TV, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, and Xfinity X1 – deepens an incredible working relationship with Comcast/NBCU, and we look forward to a future of mutual distribution that benefits our shared customers,” Hopkins added.
