Amazon launched two new Echo Show devices today, an upgraded Echo Show 15 and the all-new Echo Show 21. As the name suggests, the Echo Show 21 features a 21-inch display making it the largest Echo Show ever.
Designed as a smart display for rooms where a TV is not in use, the Echo Show lineup offers a way to access steaming services (Fire TV is built in), listen to music, follow recipes, make video calls, control smart home devices, and much more.
With an Echo Show 21 also now available, consumers have the option of adding a much larger Echo Show smart display to their kitchen or any other room that it could prove useful in replace of a smart TV.
Compared to the original Echo Show 15, both the Echo Show 21 and upgraded Echo Show 15 feature better audio quality in general, offering an improved experience when listening to a podcast or watching a TV show.
Amazon has also more than doubled the field of view of the cameras and added 65% more zoom, which should make videos calls even better. With noise reduction technology also in use, video call audio should be better as well.
In terms of the cost, the upgraded Echo Show 15 is priced at $299.99 and available to buy now from Amazon. The larger Echo Show 21 costs $399.99 and is also available to buy now from Amazon. Both models come with an Alexa Voice Remote and wall mounting equipment.
For those that would prefer not to mount the smart display, Amazon is also selling a counter stand separately, priced at $99.99.
