Amazon is adding a new Alexa+ Hub to Fire TV. The new hub is designed to be a dedicated home to Alexa, and a place where users can access deeper responses based on even smarter reasoning.

Amazon first launched the new Alexa+ experience last year in a limited preview. However, it is now widely available to users, and as part of the latest expansion of Alexa+, a new dedicated hub will soon make its way to the Fire TV platform.
According to Amazon, customers don’t always realize what Alexa+ on Fire TV can do, and the new hub is designed to be somewhat of a learning environment for users, where they can access a variety of relevant and personalized prompt suggestions.
Selecting any of these prompt suggestions will then provide a video explaining the feature.
The hub will also be home to other Alexa-related information as well, including recent conversations across their devices, and users will even have the option to jump back into a conversation they previously started.
According to Amazon, the new Alexa+ Hub will begin rolling out to Fire TV devices in the U.S. in November, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen), Fire TV Cube, Amazon Ember TVs, and partner TVs with Fire TV built-in.
The same Alexa+ upgrades are due to make their way to the new Fire TV Stick 4K (announced today) as well as more countries in early 2027.
A Smarter Alexa in General and Mobile App Support
It looks like Alexa is also getting a reasoning boost which will make it smarter at recommending movies and shows.
This ‘smarter reasoning‘ upgrade is being made possible by a move away from simply matching keywords. Instead, Amazon says Alexa+ will be able to draw on a customer’s subscriptions, watch history, availability, and world context to provide smarter, more helpful, and personalized responses, and even to more nuanced questions.
As examples of this upgraded ability, Amazon explains Alexa+ will be able to answer questions like “Alexa, I’m diving into the Marvel universe. Show me the movies in the universe timeline order” and “Alexa, find shows that were nominated for the recent Emmys but got snubbed.”
Adding to this, Alexa+ will also now be able to understand and answer follow-up questions.
For those who also make use of the Fire TV mobile app, Amazon also confirmed that Alexa+ support is coming soon.
Once available, mobile app users will be able to take advantage of some pretty interesting features, including the ability to share an article or listicle link in the app and have Alexa+ turn it into a curated list with the ability to add the included titles to their watchlist.
This, along with the other new Alexa+-related features coming to the Fire TV mobile app, are due to begin rolling out later this year, beginning with U.S. customers.
