The Roku Channel now offers BET+ Essential as a premium subscription option. With BET+ Essential through The Roku Channel priced at $5.99 a month, Roku users now have the option to sign up to the BET streaming service at a cheaper price than usual.
To put the difference into perspective, the BET Essential plan costs $4 less each month than the $9.99/month Premium plan. Essential isn’t just cheaper for the sake of being cheaper, with the lower price offset by the inclusion of ads before and during content.
Other than the inclusion of ads, Essential tier subscribers get access to all of the same content as those signed up to the ad-free Premium plan. This makes it a good option for those looking to save on the cost while still unlocking access to more BET content, including exclusive originals from Tyler Perry, Gabrielle Union, Lee Daniels, Mary J. Blige, Kevin Hart, and Kenya Barris, among others.
Regardless of whether subscribing to the BET+ Essential or Premium plan, Roku users can take advantage of a seven-day free trial when signing up.
The BET+ Essential plan joins a growing list of streaming services that can now be accessed through The Roku Channel, including Max, which arrived on The Roku Channel just last week.
While signing up through a third-party platform like The Roku Channel won’t necessarily make subscriptions to services like BET+ and Max any cheaper, they do offer exiting Roku users a convenient way to start and manage their subscriptions.
