Black Friday has always been a good time to consider picking up a new TV or adding to a home entertainment system, and finding a great deal on a streaming service or player is now no different. Whether looking for a better price on access to live TV channels, or simply a newer and more capable device to watch on, Black Friday 2021 has plenty of streaming-specific promotions ready for consumers to take advantage of.

As streaming adoption has continued to increase over the years, so has the number of streaming services to actually choose from. While not exactly an issue in itself, as choice is always a good thing for consumers, problems can very quickly arise when subscribing to too many services at the same time. This situation can often lead to consumers prioritizing some services over others and potentially missing out on shows and movies that they might genuinely enjoy.

Of course, there are various promotions that take place throughout the year and taking advantage of these can be a good way to keep those costs down. Black Friday has always been a time of the year when additional discounts and deals are available, and streaming services are now increasingly using this popular sales period to offer promotions and incentives to encourage consumers to sign up.

Covering all of the discounts and deals is not exactly useful, so here you’ll find a number of highlighted promotions that appear to be worth checking out. Consumers can either scroll down and find out additional information on the specific deals available, or just check out the table below for an overall summary.

Sling TV deals

As part of its Back Friday 2021 celebrations, Sling is offering a BOGO promotion where consumers can pay for one month of Sling Blue or Sling Orange and get a second month of live TV for free. Basically, this is two months of live TV for just $35. The promotion started November 26th and will remain available through November 29, 2021.

Sling typically offers plenty of deals and promotions throughout the year and one of the most notable ones right now is a free Chromecast with Google TV. Sling already offers the option to get a free device, typically an AirTV Mini, when signing up and pre-paying, but that deal usually requires two months of service to be paid for in advance. In contrast, Sling TV is currently giving new customers a free Chromecast with Google TV when paying for one month of Sling Orange or Blue. In other words, consumers can currently get one month of live TV and a Chromecast with Google TV for just $35.

Save $50 on YouTube TV

YouTube is currently offering a good deal on its live TV subscription with the option to sign up and only pay $14.99 for the first month. This deal also does not affect the availability of the free trial, so it is a good opportunity to sign up for an extended period of time (probably long enough to cover the Holidays) and only pay $14.99.

No coupon code is needed with the deal available directly through the YouTube TV website. Whether a new or existing subscriber, there is also the opportunity to bundle a number of add-ons to a live TV plan and only pay $0.99 for each add-on per month for the first two months.

Save on a Philo subscription

With the standard plan starting at just $25 per month, Philo is already an affordable option for streaming live TV over the internet. A price that even makes it cheaper than Sling TV. For Black Friday 2021, Philo will be sweetening the deal by offering the first month of service for just $5. With this promotion, consumers can either pay $5 and watch live TV for one month, or allow the subscription to roll over for a second month knowing they are only paying $30 in total for two months of Philo service.

Philo’s $5 deal goes live on November 25th and will remain available up until 11:59 PM PT on December 1, 2021. To drop the price down from $25 to $5 for the first month, use the BCFM promo code during checkout.

Hulu for just 99 cents

What is arguably one of the best Black Friday 2021 deals is the ability to sign up to Hulu for just 99 cents per month. This is for the ad-supported plan which normally costs $6.99 per month, resulting in a significant saving overall. It is worth noting that the deal is only for the first twelve months and is not available to existing subscribers. However, as long as a consumer was not a Hulu subscriber during the past month, they should be able to sign up along with new customers. Hulu’s 99 cents Black Friday deal must be redeemed by 11:59 PM PST on November 29, 2021.

Save on an AMC+ subscription

For Black Friday and Cyber Monday, AMC+ is offering new customers the option to save around 70 percent on the cost of a subscription. AMC+ brings together content from a number of places including AMC, Shudder, Sundance Now and BBC America. A standard subscription costs $8.99 per month, but the Black Friday 2021 deal brings the cost down to just $1.99 for each month. The caveat here is that consumers need to sign up and pay annually to get the discount. In other words, AMC+ is actually offering one year of access for $23.88 in total. No code is needed for this promotion, just head over to the AMC+ website and sign up, while making sure to choose the annual plan option.

Discovery+ for just 99 cents

Discovery+ is another option for those looking to save on the cost of a subscription over Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The streaming service populated with content from Discovery, Food Network, HGTV, and ID among other popular networks, typically costs $4.99 for the ad-free subscription. However, Discovery+ is now offering the option to sign up to the ad-free plan at just $0.99 per month for the first three months. The deal is already available through the Discovery+ website and is due to remain available through Cyber Monday.

Save on Chromecast with Google TV

If getting a Chromecast with Google TV for free through Sling TV is not of much use, consumers can still save on the purchase of Google’s streaming player. Normally priced at $49.99, the Chromecast with Google TV can be picked up for $39.99 from multiple places, including the Google Store and Best Buy. Considering this is a pretty useful and affordable streaming device, getting it for $10 less than usual is a good deal overall.

Roku deals

Roku remains a popular option for those looking for a device to watch videos on and the company is offering discounts on many of its popular devices during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2021 weekend. For example, consumers can pick up a Roku Premiere — $19.99 ($15 off), a Roku Streaming Stick 4K ($20 off) or a Roku Streaming Stick+ ($15 off) for just $29.99. There is also the option to grab a Roku Streambar for $79.99, $50 less than its usual retail price.

For those that already own a Roku player, the company is also offering the option to sign up to various premium subscriptions through The Roku Channel for just $0.99 per month for the first two months. There are a number of premium subscriptions available as part of this deal, including Epix, Showtime, and Starz. These heavily discounted subscriptions will remain available up until November 30, 2021.

Fire TV deals

As to be expected, Roku is not the only major device-maker slashing prices on devices for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Amazon has also already dropped the price on multiple Fire TV devices, as well as its own 4-series and Omni-series smart TVs. For example, the Fire TV Stick Lite is down to $17.99 ($12 off), the Fire TV Stick 4K is on sale for just $24.99 ($25 off), and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max can be picked up for $34.99 ($20 off). If looking for a more robust player, then the Fire TV Cube is on sale for $79.99 ($40 off) while the Fire TV Recast has dropped down to $129.99 ($100 off) for the 500GB version or $179.99 ($100 off) for the 1TB version.

If in need of a new TV, Amazon is currently offering savings on multiple models. For example, Amazon’s Fire TV-powered 43-inch 4-Series can be picked up for $269.99 ($100 off), the 50-inch version is down to $329.99 ($140 off), and the 55-inch model is on sale for $379.99 ($140 off).

Likewise, the 43-inch Fire TV-powered Omni-series TV is on sale for $299.99 ($110 off), the 50-inch is down to $359.99 ($150 off), and the 55-inch version is on sale for $409.99 ($150 off).
