Black Friday has always been a good time to consider picking up a new TV or adding to a home entertainment system, and finding a great deal on streaming services or devices is now no different. Whether looking for a better price on access to live TV, or simply a newer and more capable player to watch on, Black Friday 2022 has plenty of streaming-specific promotions ready to take advantage of.

Of course, there are various promotions that take place throughout the year and taking advantage of these is also a good way to keep streaming costs down. This is especially true when also combining a discount with an annual plan, considering yearly subscriptions tend to be cheaper over 12 months to begin with. The problem with annual plans is that the subscriber is locked in until a specific date, making it hard to take advantage when new promotions come around, like on Black Friday.

Covering all of the discounts and deals available right now is not exactly useful, so below is a number of highlighted promotions that we think are specifically worth checking out this Black Friday. Below the summary you’ll find additional deals that are currently available on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, and more.

Hulu for $1.99 per month

Every year for the last few years, Hulu has offered a big discount on its basic With Ads plan and the same is true for Black Friday 2022. Paramount Plus 50% off annual plans

Paramount Plus is currently offering a 50% discount on its annual plans for Black Friday. No code is needed but the user will need to click on the Annual tab on the Pick Your Plan page to see the discounted prices. This deal brings the cost of the Essential plan down to $25, and Premium down to $50 for a full year. It is also possible to sign up to a Paramount Plus and Showtime bundle annual plan at 50% off.

Peacock for $0.99 per month

The standard Peacock Premium subscription costs $4.99 per month but the SAVEBIG promo code currently reduces the cost down to just 99 cents per month for 12 months. The same code can also be used to bring the cost of the Peacock Premium Plus plan down to $5.99 per month for the first 12 months.

HBO Max for $1.99 per month

Discovery Plus for 99 cents

AMC Plus has dropped the price of its subscription down to just $1.99 per month for the first two months. AMC Plus unlocks access to AMC, IFC Films Unlimited, Sundance Now, and Shudder content. Considering a subscription typically costs $8.99 per month, this is a fairly big discount on the first two months.

The best of Black Friday 2021 deals

So far, Black Friday 2022 has proven to be a very good year for streaming service savings. For comparison, here’s a look back at some of the best deals of Black Friday 2021.

Sling TV BOGO$35
Sling TV free Chromecast$35
YouTube TV$15 (1st month)
Philo$5 (1st month)
Hulu99 cents p/m
AMC+$23.88 (annual)
Discovery+$0.99 p/m (3 months)
Chromecast with Google TV$39.99
Roku playersFrom $19.99
Roku subscriptions$0.99 p/m (2 months)
Fire TV playersFrom $17.99

One of the very best Black Friday deals of 2021 was Hulu for just 99 cents per month for 12 months. A deal that’s now returned in 2022, albeit at the slightly higher $1.99 per month price. Still, and considering the various Disney price increases of late, access to the Hulu library at $1.99 per month is a steal, and certainly a deal worth checking out.

For those more interested in live TV, last year’s Black Friday also saw deals on Sling TV, YouTube TV, and Philo. This year, Sling TV has announced Black Friday deals with the choice of choosing between 50% off a live TV plan or getting a Fire TV Stick Lite for free. Similar to last year, Philo is once again offering the first month of live TV at just $5.

If you still haven’t found a deal that suits you, additional discounts may become available for Cyber Monday. This post will be updated with any Cyber Monday 2022 deals that are announced.
