It is possible to watch NFL on Peacock, but not every game during the season. Unlike many other sports leagues, NFL is one of the most spread out over streaming services. So while Peacock offers access to some games, you won’t be able to watch all of them.
In total, 26 NFL games will be available to stream on Peacock during the 2026-27 season. 22 of these games will be regular-season games, consisting of 18 Sunday Night Football games, the NFL Kickoff 2026 Game, the annual Thanksgiving night game, a late afternoon Week 17 game, and a primetime Week 17 Peacock exclusive game.
The remaining games include the preseason-opening Pro Football Hall of Fame Game and three postseason games (two Wild Card and one Divisional Playoff).
Peacock Is Great for Sunday Night Football
The main thing to know about NFL on Peacock is that the streaming service is a great way to watch Sunday Night Football.
Generally speaking, Sunday Night Football is shown live on NBC, so anyone with a live TV plan that includes NBC can watch the weekly games without any additional services or subscriptions.
If not signed up to a live TV package, or one that doesn’t include NBC in the lineup, Peacock also shows every regular-season Sunday night matchup, making it a good alternative to a live TV package.

It is worth noting some of these matchups could be changed. This is due to NFL Flexible Scheduling Procedures, which can result in select Sunday afternoon games being moved to Sunday night, and the originally scheduled Sunday night game moved to Sunday afternoon
As is usually the case each year, Sunday Night Football broadcasts are expected to begin at 8:20 PM Eastern Time (5:20 PM Pacific Time), with kickoff occurring shortly after.
Pregame with Peacock: Along with the main game each week, Peacock Premium subscribers can also watch the Football Night in America pregame show every Sunday, with live coverage typically beginning at 7:00 PM ET.
Additional NFL Games on Peacock
Along with every regular season Sunday Night Football game, Peacock will also stream a small selection of additional matchups, including an exclusive holiday game.
- Aug 6 (Hall of Fame Game): Preseason opener between the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals.
- Sept. 9: (NFL Kickoff Game): Season opener between New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

That’s not all. Peacock will also stream three NFL Playoffs postseason matchups, consisting of two Wild Card games and one Divisional Playoff game.
All in all, Peacock is offering access to more NFL games than ever before. While the streaming service doesn’t provide access to every NFL game during the season, it is a subscription that football fans might want to consider.
Stream even more football: Along with NFL, Peacock also streams plenty of college football each year, including Notre Dame home games and Big Ten games.
Choosing the Right Peacock Plan for Football
If primarily considering signing up to Peacock to stream football, it is important to choose the right plan.
In general, the streaming service offers three subscription tiers for you to choose from: Select, Premium and Premium Plus.
While the cheapest overall, Select is a very limited plan, and doesn’t include access to NFL. Due to this, football fans will need to consider one of the more expensive Premium plans.
Priced at $10.99/mo (or $109.99/yr), the standard Premium plan is the cheapest. Upgrading to the $16.99/mo (or $169.99/yr) Premium Plus plan not only removes ads but also unlocks access to a subscriber’s local NBC channel.
Although Premium Plus is the only Peacock plan that provides access to NBC, which is usually required to watch Sunday Night Football, subscribers to both Premium plans can watch the weekly NFL game each Sunday, as well as the additional games streaming on Peacock during the season.
Instead of looking for the live NBC channel in the live guide, all Premium subscribers can simply click on the dedicated football game tile on the Home screen each Sunday night, or in the app’s Sports tab.
