What You Need to Know

  • Charter’s total video customer base stood at 12,524,000, as of June 30, 2026.
  • Although a loss, the quarterly and annual declines are smaller than losses in the previous quarter and year.
  • Charter credited simplified pricing and bundling of streaming services for the improvement.

Charter ended the first quarter of the year with 12,545,000 video customers. Considering the company today reported 12,524,000 (as of June 30), Charter lost approximately 21,000 video customers between April and June.

Although a loss, Charter reported a decline of around 60,000 video customers during the first quarter of the year, almost three times as many as during the current quarter.

The drop is also significantly less than last year, when Charter reported a decline of 80,000 in the second quarter of 2025.

On an annual basis, video customers were also down. After reporting a total of 12,631,000 during Q2 2025, the company lost around 107,000 video customers over the past 12 months.

Similar to the quarter over quarter change, the 100,000+ decline was considerable less than the 678,000 video customers the company lost between Q2 2024 and Q2 2025.

According to Charter, the improvement in customer losses was driven by simplified pricing and the additional value offered through the bundling of streaming services.

Over the past year, Charter has continually struck deals to ensure its TV plans come bundled with a variety of premium streaming subscriptions.

For example, Spectrum TV Select video customers now receive more than $120/mo in streaming value as part of their live TV package.

Services available at no additional cost include AMC+, Disney+, ESPN Unlimited, HBO Max, Hulu, Paramount+, Peacock, and ViX, among others.
