If you’ve been waiting to see what all the hype was surrounding Chick-fil-A’s new streaming service, you now can, as the new Chick-fil-A Play app is available beginning today.
First off, Chick-fil-A Play is not a streaming service in the traditional sense. Arguably, it is not a streaming service at all. Instead, it is an app that includes a range of family-friendly content, including videos users can stream.
While not a traditional streaming service, it seems like Chick-fil-A has been investing in its video content and the app is set to become home to original programming you won’t find elsewhere, including animated shows and original scripted podcasts.
Most notable at launch is Legends of Evergreen Hills. The new animated series follows 12-year-old Sam and her friends as the group embark on an adventure to save the fantastical world of Evergreen Hills.
In addition to original shows and podcasts, Chick-fil-A Play users also get access to a variety of additional entertainment content, including games, jokes, video-based recipes, kid-friendly crafts, animated books and interactive stories.
At present, the app is currently only available to download on Android mobile devices through the Google Play Store and iOS devices through Apple’s App Store. However, it is possible to cast video content from the mobile app to a compatible smart TV or streaming player.
For those suddenly feeling a need to head down to their local Chick-fil-A, the fast food restaurant chain added a few limited-time festive items to its menu today. Along with the return of Peppermint Chip Milkshake, diners can also pick up a Peppermint Iced Coffee or a Peppermint Chip Frosted Coffee.
