If you just can’t get enough of Chick-Fil-A, it looks like you might be able to subscribe to the fast-food restaurant’s streaming service soon. That’s according to a report from Deadline, which states Chick-Fil-A is working with a number of companies to launch the service.
While details are a little limited right now, the report explains that Chick-Fil-A plans to stock the streaming service with a variety of original flavors programming. In particular, unscripted family-friendly content, including a 10-episode family-friendly gameshow that’s already understood to be in development.
In addition to its original programming, the Chick-Fil-A streaming service will also reportedly be home to a selection of third-party content, both licensed and acquired.
If all goes according to the report, the streaming service is expected to launch later this year. Unfortunately, no details on how much a Chick-Fil-A subscription will cost were provided. It also remains unclear what the streaming service will be called.
Regardless of whether this is a free or paid service, we would expect some sort of ad-supported element to be in effect. Even though the service as a whole will be, in effect, an ad, Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR) brands are already well aware of the growth in streaming advertising.
A report from earlier this year, for example, pointed to QSR brands, including Chick-fil-A, seeing increases in streaming ad effectiveness when compared to their own linear TV ad performance.
