Cineverse ended the second calendar quarter of 2025 (Cineverse’s Q1 FY 2026) with 1.38 million SVOD subscribers. The update confirms a 6% year-over-year increase in subscribers for the company.
Terrifier 3 became available to stream on Screambox during the first quarter, and Cineverse says Screambox viewership has increased 27% since the movie’s release.
In addition to its SVOD services, Cineverse also offers a lot of FAST channels and content, and the company reported a 38% increase in total monthly viewership across its channel portfolio. This increase was attributed to strong growth from Screambox, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, Barney, and Yu-Gi-Oh.
Viewership for Dove Channel and Fandor also increased 25% and 22%, respectively.
Total streaming viewers for the quarter was 209 million, a 20% year-over-year increase on the the same quarter in 2024. Total minutes streamed was up 38% to more than 4 billion, and FAST channel minutes were up 20% to 3.8 billion.
In terms of revenue, Cineverse reported a total quarterly revenue of $11.1 million, a 22% increase on the $9.1 million reported for the same quarter of the year before.
Streaming and digital revenues for the quarter totaled $9.1 million, an 18% increase on the $7.7 million reported for the second calendar quarter of 2024.
With The Toxic Avenger Unrated landing in theaters at the end of this month (Aug. 29), Cineverse will be hoping the current quarter proves to be another successful one.
