Starz ended the second calendar quarter of 2025 with 12.2 million streaming subscribers in the United States. This marks a decline of around 120,000 between April and June of this year.
Starz closed out the first calendar quarter of 2025 with 12.3 million streaming subscribers in the U.S., and this represented an increase of around 530,000 subscribers during that quarter.
With 12.2 million streaming subscribers reported for the most recent quarter, the streaming service is still around 430,000 subscribers up on the start of the year.
With 11.8 million domestic streaming subscribers reported for the end of the second calendar quarter of 2024, the streaming service is also around 400,000 up on a year over year basis.
When factoring in Canada, Starz ended the most recent quarter with 19.1 million North American subscribers. With a 110,000 decline in Canada, and Starz ending the first calendar quarter of the year with 19.6 million North American subscribers, the service saw a total North American decline of around 520,000 during the quarter.
Linear subscribers for the quarter was reported as 5.41 million. This was down on the 5.7 million reported for the first calendar quarter, and down on the 6.49 million reported for the end of the second calendar quarter of last year.
Overall, the total number of U.S. Starz subscribers (streaming + linear) for the most recent quarter was reported as 17.6 million, a decline of 410,000 from the previous quarter.
