Cineverse has extended its distribution deal with Konami Cross Media NY, ensuring that a wide variety of anime content, including Yu-Gi-Oh!, remains available across its platforms and channels.

In addition to the main Cineverse streaming service, the company also offers a number of FAST channels that can be accessed on other platforms. For example, the company’s dedicated Yu-Gi-Oh! linear channel is available to watch for free via Pluto TV.

Following this latest agreement, Cineverse has confirmed availability of the linear Yu-Gi-Oh! FAST channel will expand to other platforms in 2024. In addition, the new deal also includes distribution rights for Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens and Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions.

“‘The Quarter Century Celebration of the Trading Card Game, happening now, clearly demonstrates the longevity and popularity of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand” said Mark Kirk, SVP Distribution for KCMNY. “We are constantly looking for ways to keep and grow our fandom, — now spanning multiple generations — engaged with the content in the streaming space. Partners like Cineverse help us to reach both new and loyal fans alike.”

The agreement also ensures that more Konami Cross Media NY titles will be added to the RetroCrush FAST channel throughout the year. In addition to the RetroCrush website, the free RetroCrush channel can be accessed through various free platforms and services, including Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, Peacock, Philo, Samsung TV Plus, Sling Freestream, The Roku Channel, Redbox, Vizio WatchFree+ and Plex.

Earlier this year, Cineverse unveiled its new AI-powered cineSearch discovery tool. The new feature is designed to help users more easily find content to watch, and even comes with its own ‘Ava’ movie concierge.
