Crunchyroll Drops to Super Low Price as Part of Ani-May 2026 Celebrations

If you’ve been considering signing up to Crunchyroll, now is a good time to do so. The popular anime streaming service has dropped the price of its Fan and Mega Fan plans as part of its month-long Ani-May celebrations, reducing the cost to as low as $2 a month.

For those unfamiliar with Ani-May, this is an annual, month-long global anime celebration held by Crunchyroll each year. And yes, specifically in May.

Crunchyroll announced its Ani-May 2026 celebration plans last month, explaining that this year would include new streaming debuts and collaborations, and a limited time offer on discounted Fan and Mega Fan membership.

What was unclear at the time is that this limited time offer would actually be a massive discount on its membership tiers, as new subscribers can now sign up to Fan for just $1.99 a month or Mega Fan for just $2.99 a month.

The discounted prices are available to new and eligible returning subscribers today (May 7) through May 21, 2026, and apply to the first three months of a subscription.

To put these savings into perspective, the Fan Tier normally costs $9.99 a month, $8 more than the current discounted price. Over the course of the three discounted months, this results in a total saving of $24.

When it comes to the Mega Fan tier, the savings are even greater. With a Mega Fan subscription normally priced at $13.99 a month, $11 more than the currently discounted price, those taking advantage of this promotion will save $33 over all three discounted months.

For those unsure of which tier is best for them, Mega Fan not only increases the number of streams to four (up from one with Fan), but it also includes full access to Game Vault, and a 10% discount on select Crunchyroll Store purchases (compared to 5% with Fan).

Signing up to either the Fan or Mega Fan tier will unlock ad-free access to the full Crunchyroll library.
