If you didn’t think DirecTV‘s Genre Packs offered enough additional content, they have now received another premium subscription injection. The latest additions arrive in the form of AMC+, Shudder, and Fanatiz.
What You Need to Know
- DirecTV continues to add more services to its themed Genre Packs, increasing their overall value.
- With AMC+ and Shudder now included, DirecTV offers even more entertainment and horror content.
- Fanatiz has also been added, providing access to more international sports, including soccer.
DirecTV launched its Genre Packs in early 2025 as a way to offer themed live TV packages at a cheaper price than its main Signature Packages.
Ever since launch, these themed packages have continually expanded. In particular, the MyEntertainment plan has routinely seen its value increase, and especially thanks to additions like Disney+, HBO Max, and Hulu.
Now MyEntertainment has expanded once again. The latest addition to the entertainment-themed live TV package is AMC+.
With AMC+ included, MyEntertainment subscribers now have access to a lot more content from AMC, as well as titles from the IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder, and Sundance Now libraries.
Considering MyEntertainment currently costs $34.99/mo, the addition of AMC+ pushes the additional included value to more than $30, making it even better value than ever before.
Along with AMC+ joining MyEntertainment, DirecTV has also now added Shudder to the MyCinema Mini Pack, providing subscribers with access to a large library of horror and thriller content.
As a reminder, the MyCinema Mini Pack costs $9.99/mo and is available to bundle with DirecTV’s MyEntertainment, MyNews, MySports, and MyKids Genre Packs.
Completing the list of new additions is Fanatiz. The sports streaming service has been added to the MiEspañol Genre Pack to provide subscribers with even more sports and soccer content, including South American soccer leagues, select rugby events, and other international sporting events.
With MiEspañol priced at $34.99/mo, and already including access to ViX Premium, it also now offers even better value than ever before.
While these new additions do add value to the Genre Packs they have been bundled with, it should be noted that most Genre Packs are due to increase in price later this month.
Depending on the Genre Pack, subscribers could see their monthly subscription cost increase by as much as $8.
