The next live TV streaming price increase is never too far away and Streaming Better can now confirm that a number of DirecTV packages are set to increase in price. The increase takes effect next month and will impact Genre Pack subscribers for the first time.
What You Need to Know
- Multiple DirecTV Genre Packs will see their first-ever price increase on June 25, 2026, with most packages rising between $1–$8 per month.
- Additional hikes are expected for Signature Packages, including Choice and Ultimate, though these changes remain unconfirmed.
- Affected customers can expect to receive details of their price increase via email.
DirecTV recently made it a little more difficult to confirm all price increases ahead of time. Instead, the company tends to now inform affected subscribers of a price increase directly, and only their individual price increase.
However, Streaming Better can confirm that the following DirecTV packages will increase in price on June 25, 2026.
- MyEntertainment increasing from $34.99/mo to $42.99/mo
- MyNews increasing from $39.99/mo to $44.99/mo
- MiEspañol increasing from $34.99/mo to $37.99/mo
- MyKids increasing from $19.99/mo to $20.99/mo
- MySports Extra increasing from $12.99/mo to $13.99/mo
- MyCinema increasing from $9.99/mo to $10.99/mo
Considering these Genre Packs only launched last year, this round of price increases marks the first time these genre-themed live TV packages have increased in price in general.
Unconfirmed for now, but the MySports Genre Pack may also be increasing by $5 a month from June 25, 2026.
Signature Packages Also Expected to Increase in Price
In addition to the Genre Packs listed above, we do expect some, if not all, of DirecTV’s Signature Packages to increase in price on the same day.
While we have yet to confirm Signature Package changes, we have received reports that the Choice package is due to go up by $8 a month and Ultimate is set to increase by $13 a month.
There are also some reports that legacy subscribers, including Go Big, are set to see their price increase next month, and by as much as $10.
Again, these Signature Package price increases remain unconfirmed for now, and it is currently unclear if Entertainment and Premier subscribers are impacted as well.
For those concerned about their individual package, existing subscribers are expected to receive an email over the coming hours and days advising of any price increase that affects them.
Existing subscribers should also be able to check whether a price increase is heading their way by signing in to their account and checking the billing section for a change to their upcoming charges.
